CX-24.4.3.1 LIVE RISK API Release Notes

We're excited to announce the launch of the Live Risk API. With Live Risk shipment monitoring becomes simplified, enabling loss prevention, reducing monitoring burden, and helping build the foundation for scaling IoT programs.

🌟 Key Features

Risk Levels and Summary

  • Automatically classifies shipment risk into Ignore, Watch, or Act based on active shipment data
  • Risk levels are determined based on the current impact of OTIF/temperature predictions and external events
  • Each API call includes a risk level and summary statement, which provides the context of the overall state of the shipment

OTIF Impact

  • Leverages best-in-class Predicted Time of Arrival (PTA) algorithms to determine estimated arrival time for transit legs and final destinations
  • Compares transit and dwell times with historical performance to identify irregular shipment behavior

Temperature Monitoring

  • Utilizes robust Predicted Temperature Excursion (PTE) models to identify potential shipment excursions before they occur
  • Compares shipment temperature with historical performance to identify irregular temperature behavior
  • Product temperature profiles determine temperature excursion bounds and in-transit remaining shelf life/stability

External Impact

  • Identify shipments with potential risks that lay outside the scope of company control such as weather, geopolitical, or airline delays
  • Receive a summary statement of the events impacting shipments with expected locations and duration

🔜 Coming Soon

  • Automated lane on-boarding
  • Separation of Live Risk and Config APIs for optimized workflow segregation
  • Optional functionality for multiple temperature excursion duration triggers within a temperature profile

📝 Important Notes

  • Live Risk is available via API access, for more information please see the Live Risk API Documentation
  • The Live Risk API currently accepts a single ping per API call/response, future updates will allow for multiple pings to be included in each API call/response
  • Live Risk optimally combines temperature and location data to provide the full shipment context, however, it can be functional with solely temperature or location data if desired
